Destructable parts to my racing level

One thing I want is to have a destructible lower level. I want some of the track to be breaking and breakable. My inspiration for this comes from earthquakes. I want the environment to look as if the areas has been effected by the most devastating earthquake ever.



 
surprisingly I couldn't find video of earthquakes in action... probably because everyone is running when close enough....
 
 I want the lower half of my level to be broken apart like in these images above. I want the bounds to the track to be determined by fallen and falling debris.

Another possible point for destruction is in my round ruin, Hugo wants something epic in there, and this is a possibility :]

Car Decal

I made a quick drawing for my car and painted it in photoshop. My character is going to be a chick really into the death metal scene.  :] So I felt like the devil might be something she would have on her car... hope it looks good...

Racing Game Intro

I'm not much of a racing game fan, thus I don't really know any racing games other than Mario Kart Wii and Crash Team racing, so to find some inspiration for my opening cinematic for my racing level I just looked up "best racing game intros'. Of the many that came up, this one stood out to me the most. I like the cinematic quality of it. It shows the environment and even stunts and possible problems the payer might face while maintaining a very Hollywood action movie feel. I would like something epic like this. :]
 
 
This game is called Street Racing Syndicate.

Electric Trap

This trap is to replace the current grey box spikes in my level. The traps will be set in three groups. One group will activate by popping out of the floor, then the next, and then the next.

They will be cylindrical, with warning lights on the tops. They will be set into the floor so their tops are flush and when not active they blend smoothly.

When hit at a low/normal speed I want them to just stun the player and slow them down. The second time they are hit, or if hit at a high speed it will have one large spark and stunt everyone around and break.
 
The trap I'm doing is the one in the top left. In addition to being hit, each lap the range these traps effect will increase.

My initial design for these traps is based off of a bug trap... But a cool one...
